Challenge Denmark – Legoland

This weekend I was able to make pictures at Challenge Denmark in Herning and Billund. Great venue around Lalandia and Legoland, amazing athletes and lots of fun! Long distance was won by Beate Goertz and Chris Fisher, and half distance was won by Michelle Vesterby and Dirk Bockel.

This is how the organizers describe the event : Challenge Denmark is taking  place in Herning and Billund on June 13th 2015. The swim will be in the beautiful Fuglsang Lake in Herning. Athletes racing the full distance will swim 2 laps while half distance athletes will leave the water after one lap. On what can potentially be the worlds fastest bike course from Herning to Billund, the athletes will pass the small Danish villages Sdr. Omme, Grindsted and Hejnsvig. Half distance athletes will get off the bike when they hit Lalandia in Billund while full distances will go for an extra lap in and around Billund. When getting off the bike to start running, the athletes will find themselves on a course that allows spectators to watch them run by up to eight times. The final kilometer on the run takes place on the road between Lalandia and LEGOLAND and the finish line is located in the center of Billund where a party with thousands of spectators is taking place.
